Sabine Schmitz, widely known as the “Queen of the Nürburgring," was a Pioneering female racer and a television personality. She was born on 14 May 1969 in Adenau, Rhineland-Palatinate, West Germany. She started racing with her sisters at an early age. She the first woman to win a championship title in the Nürburgring-based VLN endurance series.
Schmitz won the very famous 24 Hours Nürburgring in 1996 and 1997 as Sabine Reck. She rose to fame driving one of two BMW M2 ring taxis.
